Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time. All the data the designer stored in your account goes with it.
Step by step
- If you want to keep your data, download it first (see Download my data).
- On your account page, choose the “Data” area and tap the “Delete account” button in that row.
- Enter your password under “Password to confirm”.
- Tap “Delete account permanently”.
- Confirm the question “Really delete your account and all saved data permanently?”.
- Your account is deleted, and you land on the website's home page.
Good to know
- What gets deleted:
- your account with all saved show documents, rig profiles, custom effects, 3D setups, presets, fixture profiles and personal settings
- your locations including photos, 360° images, floor plans and 3D scans
- your feedback together with our replies
- your preview folders with all shows, likes and comments. The links stop working, including for the couple.
- your community profile with your questions, shows, answers, images and votes
- the count of your AI requests, your ratings of AI results and your usage statistics
- Manuals you uploaded for a fixture profile are deleted too.
- Your SoundSwitch projects on your computer stay untouched, including the copy “<project> Show-Designer” and all shows you saved to SoundSwitch.
- Deleting can't be undone.
Questions
Can I restore a deleted account?
No. But you can sign up again with the same address at any time and start with an empty account.
Will my shows still run in SoundSwitch afterwards?
Yes. What you saved to SoundSwitch lives in your project and doesn't depend on your account.
What happens to my preview links?
They're deleted too. Anyone who opens the link no longer sees your shows. If you only want to block a single link, withdraw it instead (see Managing preview links).
If something goes wrong
- “The password is incorrect”: Check your password. If you've forgotten it, reset it first (see Forgot your password).
