Saving a song show and checking it in SoundSwitch
When you save, Droplit writes your show into the song's script. In SoundSwitch it then plays automatically as soon as you load the song. Your original stays untouched.
Step by step
- Tap “Save to SoundSwitch”. Below the button you can see whether there are unsaved changes (“Not saved yet”) and where the show will be saved.
- If SoundSwitch currently has your copy open, Droplit asks “Is the project open in SoundSwitch?” (in the web version always the first time you save to a project). Briefly open another project in SoundSwitch (or quit SoundSwitch) and tap “Save now” or “It's closed – save now”.
- The first time you save, Droplit creates the copy “<project> Show-Designer”. The next window says: “To keep your original safe, we made a copy: …”
- A window confirms that the show is saved and shows the next steps: “Open the project … in SoundSwitch.” and “Load the song – the show plays along automatically”.
- In SoundSwitch, open exactly this project (the copy) and load the song. The show starts with the song.
- Back in Droplit: “Keep editing” stays with the show, “Go to overview” takes you to the song list. It now says “Has a show” there.

- Song studio – parts, zones, notes and effect chainsThe song page works like a lighting console: tools on the left, the stage in the middle, below it the song as part cards and as a timeline with the beatgrid. - Your song is missing from the listThe song list only shows songs that SoundSwitch has already created a script file for. SoundSwitch creates this file once you open the song there, place an effect and save.Summary

- Song analysis: beatgrid, drops and breaksTo make the show fit the music, Droplit takes the beatgrid from SoundSwitch and listens to the audio file hit by hit. From that it builds the song parts Calm, Groove, Build-up, Drop and Breakdown, and the special moments: hard hits, drum passages, breaks, fills and impacts.Summary
