Adding a balcony or gallery
Many venues have a balcony or gallery. If you add it to your setup, stands and fixtures on it sit as high as in real life, and you see how the light falls into the hall from above.

Step by step
- Click “Balcony”. It lands on the left side of the hall, with the railing facing the middle of the room.
- Under “Size and options” on the right, set:
- “Width” (1 to 30 m) and “Depth” (0.5 to 8 m),
- “Height” from 1 to 10 m, measured to the top of the balcony floor,
- “Railing”: “Metal”, “Glass” or “none”,
- “Supports”: “none” or “front” (columns under the front edge),
- “Rotation”, so the balcony sits on the right wall and the railing faces into the hall.
- To move it, click the balcony first, then drag it into place.
- Put a tripod, totem or T-bar on it and mount your fixtures there (see Putting fixtures on truss and stands). Or place a fixture freely on the balcony: drag it there while holding ⌥ / Alt.

- The workbench: setting up the visualizer with the toolbar on the leftThe visualizer has a new layout: instead of one long sidebar and lots of buttons at the top, there is a toolbar on the left with seven areas. Only one area is open at a time, and the 3D view stays large next to it. At the top you see which location and which setup are loaded, and the search gets you to any function in two seconds.Summary
- Opening and using the 3D visualizerThe 3D visualizer shows your lights on a virtual stage. You see what SoundSwitch or Droplit is sending to your fixtures right now, and you can rebuild your real setup.Summary

- Choosing the source: SoundSwitch, Designer or test patternAt the top right of the 3D view you choose where the light values come from. You either watch live what SoundSwitch sends to your fixtures, or the preview from Droplit.Summary
