Look programmer: Static Looks like on a lighting console

When you open a Static Look in Table, you get the look programmer: every fixture is a row, every channel a column – intensity, color, strobe, position, movement, gobo, prism, focus and everything else. Thru is hatched. On the right you set everything the selected fixtures can do – across all groups.

Select fixtures in the table, set values on the right.
Select fixtures in the table, set values on the right.

How it works

  1. Select fixtures: tap a row, ⇧ for a range, ⌘/Ctrl to add single ones. A group header selects the whole group, a column header all fixtures with that channel. Clicking in the 3D preview or on a group card on the right under “Groups” selects fixtures too.
  2. Set values on the right under “Values” – intensity, color, strobe, position, movement, gobo & co. The column you tapped jumps straight to the matching section.
  3. The tools above the table work on the selection, in table order:
    • Fan: spread intensity, movement speed or size from … to, or colors from … to as a gradient. Enter “Start” and “End”, then “Apply”. “the other way round (from the bottom)” starts with the lowest selected fixture.
    • Alternate: every other fixture different: “Colors A / B” (with “Color A” and “Color B”), “On / off” or “Movement forward / backward” (counter-rotating).
    • Mirror: the right half of the selection becomes a mirror image of the left: movement reversed, Stage Left and Stage Right swapped.
    • Copy / Paste: carry values from one fixture to others. Several copied fixtures are pasted in turn.
    • Thru / Off / Reset: everything to Thru, dark, or back to the group or the original from SoundSwitch.
  4. “Save to SoundSwitch” – or “Series …” for several color variants at once.
