The visualizer as a workbench – all setup in one place
The visualizer has a new layout. Instead of one long sidebar and fifteen buttons at the top, there is now a toolbar on the left with seven areas – and the 3D view stays large next to it.
- Seven areas: Location, Gear, Furniture & decor, Event, Aim, Check and Film. Only one is open at a time. “Gear” and “Furniture & decor” turn on edit mode by themselves.
- Location and setup at the top: see at a glance which location and which gear package are loaded – and whether the setup is saved.
- “What do you want to do?” (⌘K / Ctrl+K): type “mirror ball”, “barn” or “party” and press ⏎. The search knows every function, every template, every building block and your fixtures.
- The day as a timeline: at the bottom from noon to 2:30 am, with the sunset on the event date, time-lapse and layers.
- Guided or free: New here? A step bar Location → Setup → Event → Film & share guides you with a question and “Next”. Pros switch to “Free” at the top.
- Location and setup kept apart: loading another setup only swaps the gear – tables, decor and schedule stay. “Save to My locations” keeps fittings, optionally the usual seating, and a fact sheet with power, access and house rules.
- A calmer header: view and camera now sit on the 3D view, light source and haze behind the sun button, floor plan, DMX, recording and fixture profiles in the “More” menu.
Prefer the old way? “More” → “Classic view” – switch back via the gear icon.
