Overrides: color, strobe, blackout and more

Overrides sit on top of everything that is running. Use them to color everything in one color, trigger strobe, black out, aim the moving heads or set the brightness. They only affect the preview, like the buttons of the same name in SoundSwitch.

All overrides on one page.

Step by step

  1. The 5 dials at the top: “Movement Rate” (movement speed), “Movement Size” (how far the heads travel), “Strobe Rate” (flashes per second), “Color” (one fixed color from the color wheel, 0 % = off) and “Smoke” (how dense the haze gets in the preview). Drag up or right to turn them up, or use the mouse wheel or arrow keys.
  2. “Play / Pause” starts or pauses the light show.
  3. Below that the effects: “Movement” (all moving heads tilt up and down together), “Strobe”, “HUE” and “Smoke”. Whether a button toggles or only works while you press it is set on your project’s MIDI control page, as in SoundSwitch. By default “Movement”, “Strobe” and “HUE” toggle, “Smoke” only works while you press it.
  4. The 9 color fields set a fixed color. The chosen field turns darker. Tap the same color again to clear it.
  5. Next to them: “White” and “UV” only work while you press them by default. “Black Out” toggles on and off.
  6. “Position Overrides” shows the first 9 positions of your project instead of the colors, such as “Dance floor”. Empty slots show “-”. All moving heads move to the chosen position. “Color Overrides” brings the colors back.
  7. The 6 faders at the bottom:
    • “Autoloop Intensity”: brightness of the Autoloops.
    • “Scripted Track Intensity”: brightness of song shows.
    • “Group 1” to “Group 4 Intensity”: brightness of single fixture groups.
  8. Esc turns off all looks, the fixed color and the position at once.
